Are you our new IT support hero, who helps our students and teachers safely and quickly get back on track when technology becomes a stumbling block to learning?


In this new role, covering Level 1 and Level 2 support, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, directly contributing to our culture of continuous learning and technological empowerment.


Your workplace is the IT desk right at the heart of our building and in the classrooms around the school. Located at Copenhagen’s new waterfront area, Nordhavn, CIS is located next to the Orientkaj metro station and within walking and cycling distance from Østerport and Nordhavn Stations. We offer a well-stocked canteen and café as well as sporting facilities for staff.


With 900 students in Kindergarten through to Grade 12 and 300 staff, CIS stands at the forefront of educational innovation, equipping our students to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving world. Working closely with our IT Manager and Director of Technology, as our new IT Support Technician you play a pivotal role in enhancing our technological landscape and supporting our educational mission.

Starting date: 1st August 2024.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT support within the school, managing and resolving a broad spectrum of technical queries.

  • Perform installations, configurations, and routine maintenance of IT equipment and software, enhancing the technological teaching and learning tools.

  • Maintain meticulous records of IT assets, supporting the overall management and efficiency of technological resources within the school.

  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, playing a versatile role in supporting the department's goals and the school’s broader mission.

  • Participate in significant IT projects under the direction of the IT Manager and the Director of Technology, contributing to the strategic development of the school’s IT infrastructure.


Qualifications and Qualities

  • Team Player with a Customer-focused Approach: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support to all staff and students.

  • Technically Proficient and Analytical: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware and software issues, with an aptitude for analytical problem-solving.

  • Adaptable and Resilient: Comfortable tackling both routine and complex IT challenges, prioritising tasks and deploying flexible solutions in a dynamic educational environment.

  • Eager Learner: A passion for technology and education, with a willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development.

  • Educational and Professional Background: Preferably diploma or a relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, complemented by 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role. Experience with Apple/Mac and Google Workspace is required. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are advantageous.

  • Valid work permit to Denmark. This position is not eligible for international relocation.
